Dingle in Co. Kerry is renowned for its beautiful scenery and amazing landscapes, a tour of Slea Head is a must-see for any visitor or local of Ireland to experience. The Incredible Slea Head tour is just one of many highlights in visiting Dingle. The town of Dingle itself is another huge highlight with numerous bars, restaurants and shopping all available, but this isn’t just any ordinary Irish town, it is a true Irish experience.
Scenery, archaeology, entertainment and adventure can all be had in Dingle but where should you stay?
The Dingle Skellig Hotel and Peninsula Spa is a modern 4-star hotel located on the Dingle
Peninsula. The luxurious accommodation is set against the stunning coastline of Kerry and the shores of Dingle Bay.
What has Dingle got to offer?
There are several hotels and guesthouses in the area but the Skellig proved perfect for our needs, located a couple of minutes’ walk from the centre of town you get incredible views even before you have left the hotel. The proximity to all the vibrant bars and restaurants in Dingle is a bonus too, meaning you can soak up the atmosphere in town and unwind in the numerous relaxation suites in the hotel, that overlook beautiful views of Dingle Harbour and Bay.
The rooms in the hotel are spacious, comfortable and clean and despite being very busy at breakfast each morning the staff go out of their way to attend to every need. Our server made sure to find us the best seats to overlook the bay whilst we enjoyed our breakfast which was excellent and full of variety.
There are a large bar and restaurant in the hotel too and again it exudes comfort especially after a day touring the beautiful peninsula. The hotel also offers great facilities for families as they have a crèche and fungi kids club available in the hotel.
The first trip to Dingle for us and it was an incredible experience, I think whether you’re a tourist or especially a local of Ireland, Dingle is a must if you’re planning a trip away; it’s got everything from nightlife, adventure, relaxation to the scenery.
