The Cliff Townhouse Hotel Dublin is a stylish boutique Hotel located just across the street from St Stephen’s Green. The luxurious guest house is rich with history as it dates back to the late 17th Century and originally was the home of the Earl of Sherbourne.
Throughout the 18th Century the townhouse was owned and occupied by a number of Ireland’s most well-known families including John Pratt, Paymaster General, the Ormbsy and St Ledgers to name a few. The townhouse also had some notable guests including Samuel Beckett, one of the most influential writers of the 20th Century, spent some time writing in one of the building’s fine rooms.
Today, The Cliff Townhouse Hotel is a classically beautiful guesthouse and restaurant that oozes class and sophistication whilst holding on to its rustic charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable providing everything you will need for a romantic getaway in Dublin.
If you get a chance to dine at the guesthouse, I highly recommend the brunch, guests are treated with a delicious mouth-watering menu that covers everything from fresh fruit to croissants, pastries, eggs Benedict to a traditional full Irish breakfast. All menus available in the restaurant are over seen by The Cliff Collection’s Executive Chef Martijn Kajuiter, who holds a Michelin Star at the The Cliff House Hotel, Co Waterford, the guesthouses sister property.

The Cliff Townhouse Hotel, offer visitors a unique dining experience for the customer who is looking for something a little different. The carefully selected range of oysters from Irish waters include, Galway’s and Carlingford Loughs as well a seafood platters of lobster crab claws and Dublin Bay Prawns, the perfect way to spend an evening after attending the Theatre or before having a few cocktails in the relaxing bar upstairs located on the second floor.
Cliff Townhouse Oyster Festival 2017
The Sixth annual Cliff Townhouse Oyster Festival takes place this year on the 7th to the 30th September 2017. Guests can look forward to an extended Oyster menu, featuring a selection of premium Irish oyster and a limited edition Cliff oyster cocktail menu.
