EditorLidl is offering free period products in-store. The supermarket giant is the first shop in Ireland to make sanitary pads and tampons free of charge.
This is a great initiative to put a stop to period poverty and hopefully will encourage other stores and the Irish government to follow.

The deal will be made available through the Lidl plus app. Customers who would like to avail of this offer will receive a digital coupon for a box of free period products.
There will also be a donation made to the Simon Community for those who cannot access the loyalty shopping app.
Lidl also is a great supporter of Women’s GAA and plans to provide period products free of charge to all clubs across Ireland.
This will make sure thousands of young people will have access to hygiene products.
